As our site grows it will become the place for fans young and old to
gather to learn and relive the horror of this , the grandaddy of all
Slasher Films .
It is often considered the prototype of the slasher film sub-genre. Despite its grisly subject matter, the film - like John Carpenter's original Halloween - does not rely so much on explicit gore to generate terror in the audience, as it does pacing, suspense, and dramatic tension. The many sequels and imitators the original film spawned have been much bloodier and more graphic.

been volumes written on or about TCM. It is the intent of this
site to be used as a resource guide to lead a fan into the woods of
discovery and back out again with the buzz of a chainsaw closing in
not far behind !!

January of 2006. We are in the process of building and hope that as the
site grows you will occasinally return to see what is new. It is also
